Anti-Trust Policy and Procedures
WFCT Anti-Trust Policy
The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (WFCT) and their affiliated associations and entities operate within all federal and state trade regulations and anti-trust laws. Activity contrary to this policy is unacceptable, whether from any attendee, competitor, speaker, staff or other person, collectively known as participants. There shall be no substantive discussions other than at official presentations and meetings. During all activities, meetings or discussions, participants will refrain from any subject matter, which is, or could be construed to be, for the purpose of:
- Raising, lowering or stabilizing prices;
- Allocating markets, territories or customers;
- Encouraging boycotts or exclusions;
- Fostering unfair trade practices;
- Encouraging illegal brokerage or rebates;
- Refusing to deal with a firm because of its pricing or distribution practices;
- Discussing whether the pricing practices of any industry member are unethical or constitute an unfair trade practice; and/or
- Other illegal actions or policies.
Do’s & Don’ts
- DO be familiar with the WFCT anti-trust policy.
- DO schedule and attend meetings only where there are appropriate agenda items to consider.
- DO use WFCT as a vehicle for promoting the industry as a whole.
- DO seek legal counsel should sensitive subjects be up for discussion.
- DO speak up if the discussion moves into inappropriate territory. Request that the conversation cease and remove yourself from the room should the remainder of the participants continue.
- DO NOT participate in secret meetings.
- DO NOT establish programs or guidelines that are for the primary purpose, explicit or implicit, of excluding some members of the industry.
- DO NOT (without specific authorization) make public or private communications about policies or positions concerning WFCT or any of its affiliated organizations.
